New Rochelle Loose Cannons

The New Rochelle Loose Cannons are one of the top teams in the Westchester Women's Soccer League (WWSL) which is comprised of seven outdoor and ten indoor teams. The team has played together for over five years and is made up of women from various professional backgrounds including doctors, lawyers, and Wall Streeters.

The league is competitive but demands good sportsmanship from all participants and represents skill levels ranging from Division 1 college players to lifelong athletes who are relatively new to the game. They compete weekly and practice in the spring and fall usually one or two times  per week as well. Captain Lucille said, "Without Title IX there would be no league.  Without Title IX we wouldn't still be calling ourselves athletes.  Without Title IX...life wouldn't be as full."
